Social Services Legislation Amendment (Portability Extensions) Bill 2021
Amends the Social Security Act 1991, Social Security (Administration) Act 1999 and Social Services and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2014 to include a discretionary power to grant portability extensions to pensioners who are temporarily away from their country of residence and unable to return home within 26 weeks for reasons such as serious illness, death of a family member, natural disaster or public health crisis.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/Bills_Search_Results/Result?bId=r6722
