Defence Legislation Amendment (Naval Nuclear Propulsion) Bill 2023
Amends the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Act 1998 and Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 to enable the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency and the Minister for the Environment and Water to perform their respective regulatory functions in relation to Australia’s acquisition and operation of conventionally-armed, nuclear powered submarines and their supporting infrastructure and facilities.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/Bills_Search_Results/Result?bId=r7021
