Australian Human Rights Commission Legislation Amendment (Selection and Appointment) Bill 2022
Amends the: Age Discrimination Act 2004, Australian Human Right Commission Act 1986, Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Racial Discrimination Act 1975 and Sex Discrimination Act 1984 to: establish a merit based and publicly advertised appointment process for members of the Australian Human Rights Commission (including the President); and provide that the total term of appointment, including any reappointments, for members of the commission must not exceed seven years.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/Bills_Search_Results/Result?bId=r6884
