Veterans’ Affairs Legislation Amendment (Miscellaneous Measures) Bill 2023
Amends the: Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 to: provide annual reporting requirements for the Repatriation Medical Authority; and amend certain incorrect references; Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 and Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 to: replace references to ‘refuse to deal with the claim’ with ‘defer further investigation of the claim’ to better reflect actual practice; and provide for the alignment of rates of compensation for journey costs relating to treatment with the Comcare Scheme; and Defence Service Homes Act 1918 in relation to the operation of, and conditions to vary, revoke and replace, the Statement of Conditions for the Defence Service Homes Insurance Scheme.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/Bills_Search_Results/Result?bId=r7002
