This Act shall be known as the “Act on the Harmonization of National Laws to Eradicate Discriminatory Gender Practices.”\n2. This Act establishes a framework for Member States to review, amend, and enact national legislation to prevent, prohibit, and eradicate discriminatory gender practices within their respective jurisdictions.\n\n### Article 2: Definitions\nFor the purposes of this Act:\n1. “Discriminatory Gender Practice” refers to any custom, tradition, policy, law, or action that, directly or indirectly, results in unequal treatment, harm, or disadvantage to individuals based on their gender, violating their fundamental human rights and freedoms.\n2. “Gender” refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for women and men. It is distinct from sex, which refers to biological characteristics.\n3. “Member State” refers to any state that is a signatory to the World Parliament Charter and subject to the legislative authority of the World Parliament.\n4. “Gender-Based Violence” refers to any act of violence that is directed against a person on the basis of their gender, and that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, psychological, or economic harm or suffering, including threats of such acts, coercion, or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life.\n\n### Article 3: Guiding Principles\nThis Act shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the principles of:\n
