Agenda and Rules: WPE Event in Berlin
Do you think it is a good idea to decide on the agenda and rules of the event described below here online?
If yes, any proposals?
World Parliament Experiment
Imagine: What if the citizens of the world elected a global parliament in free and fair elections (as far as possible)? How powerful would this institution be? How should it be organized? What would it discuss and decide and what would happen after its decisions? How would it interact with existing institutions?
This workshop is not meant to be mainly a theoretical discussion but rather a practical experiment. A selected small group of participants is invited to act as if they were elected world parliamentarians and connect this event to the ongoing World Parliament Experiment on the internet: www.world-parliament.org. Theoretical background can be found here: https://www.democracywithoutborders.org/files/DWBDPRT2018.pdf.
Disclaimer: This workshop is designed to be a small internal research meeting, but outreach support is welcome.
More information is and will be published on: www.world-parliament.org.
If you would like to apply for the program, please send an e-mail to: team@world-parliament.org.
